Nightmare! The Birth of Victorian Horror: Dracula

This is the rather clunky title of a documentary I found by mistake on YouTube. I was looking for another - an episode of The South Bank Show presented again by Christopher Frayling (which I also highly recommend). While the South Bank focuses more on the phenomena of Dracula and all its cinematic incarnations (and rather shamelessly harnessed public interest in the lead-up to the release of Coppola movie), Nightmare! concerns itself with profiling Stoker and the minutiae of how he came to write his most seminal work. Particularly fascinating is how the genuine folk beliefs of Romania were mutated into the vampire we know today in the west - a result of public tastes and fears of the time and Stoker's complex and often unhappy relationships with his colleagues and wife.
